SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

It is still too early to decide exactly how the conference will run in January 2021, in view of the present COVID-19 situation.

We do not exclude the possibility of running it virtually or in a hybrid-mode, if needed. This will be announced later, at appropriate times.

In any case, we will have the conference ECONVN2021 in January 2021, and we will submit selected conference papers for the Springer volume right after the conference.

We will keep you informed. Any change in the situation will be communicated to you on the Conference website.

CALL FOR PAPERS

 The Fourth International Econometric Conference of Vietnam - ECONVN2021 Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, January 11-13, 2021

Main theme: 

PREDICTION AND CAUSALITY IN ECONOMETRICS AND RELATED TOPICS

The 1st Conference ECONVN2018 focused on the main theme "Econometrics for Financial Applications"; contributed papers were published in the Springer Series in Computational Intelligence, # 760, 2018.

The main theme of the 2nd Conference ECONVN2019 was "Beyond Traditional Probabilistic Methods in Economics"; contributed papers were published in the Springer Series in Computational Intelligence, # 908, 2019.

The 3rd Conference ECONVN2020 was “Data Science for Financial Econometrics"; contributed papers will be published in the Springer Series in Computational Intelligence soon in 2020.

The 4th Conference ECONVN2021 under the theme “Prediction and Causality in Econometrics and Related Topics aims at connecting together researchers in Econometrics and Finance for an opportunity to present and discuss theoretical and applied issues as well as to foster research collaboration.

Accepted papers that satisfy Springer criteria for innovativeness will be published in the Springer Series in Computational Intelligence (SCOPUS/ISI). Our previous Springer volume of ECONVN2018 has been indexed in the ISI Web of Science. The subsequent books will be submitted to indexing to the Web of Science.

The Conference welcomes research contributions to all aspects of Econometrics and Finance, with special emphasis on, but not limited to:

  • Predictive Modeling;
  • Causal Inference;
  • Machine Learning;
  • Intelligent Data Analysis;
  • Big Data;
  • Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, International Economics, and Econometrics.

Publications:

All accepted and presented papers at ECONVN2021 will be published in either SCOPUS-indexed or Vietnam Journal Citation index journals upon satisfactory peer-reviewed processes. The journals and edited book are listed below:

  • Springer-Verlag volume “Studies in Computational Intelligence” ISSN: 1860-949X (SCOPUS/ISI).
  • Proceedings published by a Vietnamese publishing house (For the submissions not accepted at the Springer book).
  • An extended version of the papers published in the Springer-Verlag book can be submitted to Soft Computing (ISSN: 1432-7643 (Print) 1433-7479 (Online) (ISI/SCOPUS) and Asian Journal of Economics and Banking (AJEB) if authors follow a strict limit on the intersection with previously published papers.

  • Paper submission deadline: July 31, 2020.
  • Notification: October 1, 2020.
  • Camera-Ready Manuscript: October 31, 2020.

  • Student + publication                      USD 100 (non-residents)/VND 3,450,000 (residents)

            2. Participants:

  • Student                                            USD 30 (non-residents)/VND 1,000,000 (residents)
    3. Papers in the proceedings by a Vietnamese publisher:  2,000,000 VND/paper
